The University of Cape Verde, a modern comprehensive university, was founded in 2006. The new campus of the University of Cape Verde was fully completed in July this year. It is located 4 km from the downtown of Praia, the capital of Cape Verde, and occupies 11 hectares of land with a total floor area of nearly 30,000 square meters. The university contains teaching/administrative buildings, service centers, libraries, dormitories and so on, and can accommodate 4,890 students and 476 teaching staff.
